Information about HIV/AIDS

This bilingual resource provides information on how to protect yourself from HIV.

There is no vaccine for HIV, so prevention is vital. Use condoms to reduce the risk of HIV, other sexually transmissible infections (STIs), and pregnancy. Avoid direct blood-to-blood contact. Medicines can also help: PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is for people without HIV and must be taken as prescribed to be effective, while PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is for people who may have been exposed and must start within 72 hours.
